Before you send a request: almost nothing about you reaches us. Your photos, the stamps on them, your site details, saved locations, templates and settings are stored on your phone and are never uploaded. You can delete all of it yourself, immediately, without asking anyone — delete individual photos in the app, or uninstall the app to remove its database and settings. This page is for the small amount of data that does exist outside your phone.

1. What you can delete yourself, right now

Photos and videosDelete them in the app's Gallery or viewer, which removes the file from the phone's storage — not just from the app's list.
Capture history, site details, saved locations, templates, settingsHeld in the app's own database. Uninstalling the app deletes all of it. Android's Settings → Apps → GPS Ornova Camera → Storage → Clear data does the same without uninstalling.
Email addresses saved for sharingStored on the phone only. Remove them in the app, or clear the app's data.
QR scan historyClear it from the QR History tab in the Gallery.

2. What we can delete on request

These are the only records connected with the app that exist outside your phone.

Photo Proof fingerprintsA one-way code (SHA-256) calculated from a photo's bytes, stored with the time a server first saw it. It cannot be reversed into a picture and identifies no person — no image, file name, location or address is stored with it. We will still delete specific fingerprints if you ask and can tell us which.
Unlock code redemptionsIf you redeemed a Pro access code, one record exists showing that an anonymous app installation used that code, and when.
Messages you have sent usAny email you have sent to support@ornovalabs.com, and our replies.
Analytics and crash reportsHeld by Google Firebase on our behalf, tied to an app-instance identifier rather than to you by name. We can ask for the records for an instance id to be deleted; you can also stop future collection by uninstalling the app.

3. How long it takes

If a request would take longer — which has not yet happened — we will tell you why before the thirty days are up, not afterwards.

4. Send a request

Required. It is the only way we can confirm the request is yours, ask a question if the records are ambiguous, and tell you when the deletion is done. We use it for this request and nothing else — no mailing list, no marketing.

Optional. Helpful only if you have written to us before.

What should we delete? *

Only needed if you chose one of the specific options above.

What happens when you send

The request goes straight to our team inbox, and you get an acknowledgement by email within seconds carrying a reference number. The page does not store your request itself — only a dated line recording that a request was received, which is the record that shows a regulator we acted.

If sending fails for any reason, the page will say so and offer two fallbacks: Use my email app instead, which opens the same request in your own mail client, and Copy the request, which puts the text on your clipboard to paste into an email to support@ornovalabs.com. A failed send never leaves you with nowhere to go.

What we will not do

We will not ask you for a copy of an identity document, a photograph of yourself, or any detail beyond what is needed to find the records. If a request cannot be matched to any record, we will say so rather than quietly closing it.

If you are not satisfied

Write to support@ornovalabs.com and say so; we will look again. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority — in India, the Data Protection Board established under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023.

5. What is kept, and why

After a deletion we keep one thing: a short note that a request was made and completed, with the date and the email address it came from. It exists so that we can show a regulator we acted, and so that we do not lose track of an unfinished request. It contains nothing about your photos or your use of the app, and it is deleted after two years.

Anonymous aggregate counts — how many installs, how many crashes — cannot be traced back to a person and are not affected by a deletion request.
