GPS Ornova Camera

Every photo. Any time. Precisely located.

A camera for work that has to be proved: location, address and time stamped into every photo, site details recorded at the shutter, PDF reports out the other end — and a tamper-evident fingerprint so a photo can be shown to be the untouched original.

Overview

What it does

A photograph on its own proves very little. GPS Ornova Camera takes the picture and writes the evidence onto it at the moment of capture — where, when, at what accuracy, on which project — so the record is complete before anybody leaves the site. It is built for engineers, inspectors, surveyors, insurance and delivery work, and for anyone whose photographs have to answer a question later.

Features

What’s inside

📍

Location stamped on every photo

Latitude, longitude, altitude, accuracy and the resolved street address are burned into the image as it is saved — not held in metadata a chat app can strip.

🗺️

Map on the stamp

A small map tile showing exactly where the photo was taken, for anyone reading the report later who does not know the site.

🧾

Site details that travel with the photo

Project, engineer, chainage, work ID, structure ID and notes — captured at the shutter, not typed up afterwards.

📄

PDF inspection reports

Turn a day's photos into a formal report, with your logo, company name and remarks. Before/After layouts pair two photos of the same place.

🛡️

Photo Proof

Every capture is fingerprinted and the fingerprint timestamped against an independent server clock. Later, the app can confirm a photo has not been altered since — even on someone else's phone.

🧭

Return to Spot

Go back to where an earlier photo was taken: an arrow relative to the way you are facing, a live distance, and the old photo ghosted over the viewfinder to line up the same shot.

🎞️

Dual camera timestamp

The other camera's view stamped into the corner — the site and the person recording it, in one picture.

🖼️

Upload & Stamp

Forgot to use the app? Bring in a photo from your gallery and place a stamp on it by hand, including a location you set yourself.

🔍

QR scanning with history

Read any code from the viewfinder, open or copy it, and find it again later in the gallery's QR history.

✉️

Email straight after capture

Save the addresses you send to, tick who gets this one, and the photo opens as a prefilled draft. You press Send.

🗂️

Templates and saved locations

Six stamp layouts, your own fields and colours, and the sites you work at often kept one tap away.

📦

Raw originals kept, if you want

Archive the untouched photo beside the stamped one, for whoever asks for the picture without the overlay.

Why it matters

Evidence, not just pictures

  • The stamp is part of the image, so it cannot be separated from the photo by sharing it.
  • The time on the stamp is the phone’s; the time behind Photo Proof is a server’s, which the phone’s owner cannot set.
  • Site details are captured at the shutter, so nothing is reconstructed from memory that evening.
  • Reports come out of the same records, so the photo in the PDF is the photo that was taken.

FAQ

GPS Ornova Camera — questions

Yes. The app is free on Google Play. A Pro subscription removes ads, unlocks unlimited map stamps and the Photo Proof verifier, but every core feature — stamping, reports, site details — works without paying.
Android 8.0 and later.
The stamp is burned into the image, so it survives anything — it is part of the picture. The tamper-evident fingerprint behind Photo Proof does not survive re-compression, so send a photo as a file rather than as a picture when it has to be verifiable.
No. Photos, the stamps on them and the site details you type stay on your phone. The only thing the app ever uploads about a photo is a one-way fingerprint that cannot be turned back into the picture. See the app privacy policy.
Yes, for capturing. Coordinates, altitude, accuracy, compass, date and time all work offline. The street address, the map tile and the weather fill in once you are back online.
