Privacy Policy — Offline Ludo Ornova
What the game keeps on your phone, what online play sends to our server, and how to have it deleted.
Last updated: 24 September 2026 · Applies to the Android app Offline Ludo Ornova (package com.ornova.ludooffline)
Who we are
Offline Ludo Ornova is published by Ornova Labs (“we”, “our”, “us”), an independent software studio based in India. For anything in this document — including a request to delete your data — email ornovalabs@gmail.com. We are the data controller for the information described here.
What stays on your phone
The following is stored only in the app's own storage on your device, using Android's app preferences. We cannot read it, and it is removed when you uninstall the game or clear its data from Android Settings:
- Your display name, and your chosen avatar, board, dice and other cosmetic items.
- Game settings: sound, music, vibration, speed, auto-move and away-mode switches, and your last match setup.
- Progress: level, XP, gems, badges, day streak, and play statistics such as matches played, wins, captures and sixes.
- Unfinished matches, so you can continue a Ludo or Snakes & Ladders game later.
- How many rewarded adverts you have watched today, so the daily limit can be applied.
Playing offline — against the computer or by passing one phone around — needs no account, no sign-in and no internet connection, and sends us nothing.
What online play sends us
Online multiplayer and the leaderboard are optional. They are used only when you open Online or the leaderboard in the app. When you do:
- Guest sign-in. The app sends the Android device identifier provided by the Unity engine together with the display name you have chosen. Our server stores a one-way hash (SHA-256) of that identifier — not the identifier itself — a randomly generated player id, your display name, and the times you were created and last seen. There is no password, email address or phone number.
- Match data. For a match you take part in, the server stores the rules used, the board, the players' seats and the move-by-move record of the game, so it can referee fairly, restore your match if you reconnect, and settle disputes.
- Leaderboard. When an online match finishes, your points, matches played, wins, podium finishes and best winning streak are updated. Your display name and these totals are public to anyone who opens the leaderboard in the app.
- Connection data. Like any internet service, our server records standard technical information such as the time of a request while it is being served, and keeps short-lived operational logs to keep the service working and secure.
Results from offline games are never uploaded, and are not counted on the leaderboard.
Adverts
The game shows rewarded video adverts that you choose to watch in exchange for gems or to unlock an item. They are delivered by Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK). To show and measure an advert, Google may collect and process device information including advertising identifiers, as described in how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the AdMob privacy documentation. We do not receive your advertising identifier and we do not build advertising profiles ourselves.
You can reset or delete your advertising ID, and turn off advert personalisation, in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads, or through Google Ads Settings. Adverts are always optional in this game — nothing is locked behind watching one; everything obtainable with an advert can also be obtained with gems or by playing.
Services we rely on
- Google AdMob — rewarded adverts (see above).
- Google Play Services / Google Play Games Services — optional sign-in for achievements and Play Games features. If you sign in, Google handles that sign-in under its own privacy policy; we receive only the display name and achievement status Google exposes to the game.
- Google Play Billing — if and when gem packs become purchasable, payment is handled entirely by Google. We never see or store your card, bank or UPI details.
- Our game server — a private server we operate at
ludo.ornovalabs.com, hosted on a rented virtual server. It holds only the online data described above.
The game contains no third-party analytics, tracking, advertising-attribution or social-media SDKs beyond the Google services listed here.
Permissions the app uses
The game requests internet and network-state access, which Android grants automatically and which are needed for online play and adverts. It does not request access to your camera, microphone, location, contacts, calendar, call logs, SMS, photos or files.
Why we use this information
- To run online matches and keep them fair (the server referees every roll and move).
- To show the leaderboard and let you find your own place on it.
- To recognise your device when you come back, so you keep the same online identity without an account.
- To show rewarded adverts you choose to watch, and to apply the daily limit.
- To keep the service secure, diagnose faults and prevent abuse.
Where the law requires a legal basis (for example the UK/EU GDPR), we rely on performing the service you asked for, on our legitimate interest in keeping that service working, fair and secure, and on your consent where consent is required.
How long we keep it
- On your phone: until you delete it, clear the app's data, or uninstall the game.
- Online account and leaderboard record: for as long as you keep playing online, and until you ask us to delete it.
- Match records and event logs: kept so results can be checked, then removed on a rolling basis; finished matches are dropped from active memory within minutes of ending.
Deleting your data
You are in control:
- Everything on the phone: uninstall the game, or go to Android Settings → Apps → Offline Ludo Ornova → Storage → Clear data. This erases your progress, gems, unlocks and saved matches permanently.
- Your online record: email ornovalabs@gmail.com from any address and tell us the display name shown on your leaderboard entry (and, if you can, roughly when you last played). We will delete your player record, your leaderboard entry and your match history within 30 days and confirm by email. You do not need an account with us to make the request, and we will not charge for it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to receive a copy in a portable form. Indian users have comparable rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. To exercise any of these, or to raise a grievance, email ornovalabs@gmail.com; we aim to reply within 30 days. If you are in the EU/UK and are unhappy with our response, you may complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Offline Ludo Ornova is a family-friendly board game, but it is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. The game shows adverts and offers optional online play, so a parent or guardian should decide whether it is suitable and supervise online use. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data — for example a display name on the leaderboard — email ornovalabs@gmail.com and we will delete it promptly. Please choose a display name that does not reveal a real full name, school or address, since leaderboard names are public.
How we protect it
All traffic between the game and our server uses HTTPS/TLS. Device identifiers are stored only as one-way hashes, session tokens are cryptographically signed and expire, and the server runs as an unprivileged service with its database readable only by that service. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep the amount of data we hold deliberately small so there is little to lose.
Where your data is processed
Our game server is hosted in the United States; Ornova Labs operates from India. Google's services process data in the countries described in their own policies. By playing online you understand that this information is transferred and processed in those countries.
Play Store data safety summary
For the Google Play “Data safety” section, the game's behaviour is:
- Collected: a device identifier (hashed on our server) and a user-chosen display name — only if you use online play; app activity in the form of online match results and leaderboard totals; device and advertising identifiers collected by Google AdMob for adverts.
- Shared: nothing is sold. Data is shared only with the Google services listed above, for the purposes listed above.
- Encrypted in transit: yes.
- Deletion route: yes — by email, as described under “Deleting your data”, and by clearing app data on the device.
- Not collected: name, email address, phone number, address, payment details, photos, files, contacts, calendar, location, messages, health or fitness data.
Changes to this policy
If the game changes in a way that affects your privacy — for example when gem purchases go live, or if online sign-in moves to Google Play Games — we will update this page and change the “last updated” date above. Significant changes will also be announced in the app or on the store listing.
